Morning Meetings!
It was a delightful week to learn and grow! We kicked off everyday of our summer school program with singing good morning songs, months of the year, and a seasons song. We followed this by hosting our calendar time, where we go over the days of the week and have an open discussion about fun and new vocabulary words relating to our topic of the day. We concluded every morning meeting with doing a movement song to get our blood pumping and energy flowing! Our little learners were certainly coping well and having a great time with their friends throughout the week!
Topic Exploration
We spent the week exploring a wide range of topics relating to Oceanic life! Our adventures took us down many avenues in which we learned about sea creatures, sea vehicles, and more! We conducted our adventures with an abundance of games, crafts, and role-playing. Our little learners took everything in stride and consistently showed an eagerness to learn alongside an excitement for adventure! We are so proud of everyone's effort and passion. Some activities we had included making submarine name tags, sea creature ornaments, 3D boats, Coral reef dioramas, sea turtle life cycle clay sculptures, shaved ice, and more!
Free Play
Prior to lunch, we spent some time in the big room. We played structured group games and allowed our friends to enjoy free play as well.
